Japan was earlier hit by a massive 7.1 earthquake close to the area where the Fukushima nuclear power station is situated.
It was here in 2015 that the Fukushima disaster happened caused by an earthquake and tsunami.
Since the original quake there have been three large aftershocks at the time of reporting, 5.3 and 4.9 whilst in another location but close to the epicentre there has been another quake, a 5.2 in Kamaishi.
